What is ReadyMaid? ReadyMaid is a new electronic replacement for the old "Do not disturb" doorknob hangers. ReadyMaid mounts in the hotel room wall, with a switch in the guest room and a indicator panel in the hallway. How does the ReadyMaid Indicator generate savings? ReadyMaid generates savings in housekeeping of up to 4 minutes of staff time per door per day (with computer integration). In a 100-room hotel, that amounts to 2433 staff hours per year, a saving of over $24,000. Thus, the system pays for itself in a very short time, and then generates savings day after day, month after month. No more replacement cards to order and stock, one less chore for the housekeeping staff, no need to check and see if the door knob sign for a room needs to be replaced. Can "ReadyMaid" be installed into an existing hotel, or only new hotels? The ReadyMaid Indicator can be installed into an existing building relatively easily as a stand-alone application. The two ReadyMaid components come pre-wired and need a simple wire harness (supplied) to be pulled through the wall cavity to connect. To obtain low voltage power, a 110 power lead is typically brought from the closest source (often the light switch) and a small transformer (sold separately by Axxess) fits into the electrical box. With new buildings, low voltage lines are installed, with one transformer supplying 10-12 rooms each. Can ReadyMaid be designed to match my hotel's style or theme? Yes! We can customize our plates to match your decor or color scheme, or we create a totally new design. We have our own in-house designers, or we can work with your interior designers for a completely customized product. Who do I contact to purchase ReadyMaid? Contact Axxess and, depending on your location, we will either refer you to a local dealer or work with you directly. Are the Ready-Maid Indicators UL & CSA approved? Since most of our units are low voltage, UL/CSA approval is typically not required. If your jurisdiction has special requirements we will work with you, your contractor and your inspector to deal with regulatory requirements. In limited cases where we supply 110-volt systems, the relevant components are UL and CSA approved. How does the ReadyMaid Indicator improve my hotel's image?
